Nova Technologies is the prime contractor for the Special Operations Mission Planning Environment (SOMPE) program, which provides an integrated software suite of MISSION PLANNING, MISSION PREVIEW and MISSION EXECUTION tools to support all phases of SOF operations, from time-critical to deliberate planning. Our personnel are highly proficient in SOF requirements, acquisitions, management, and training, and provide support to USSOCOM's Special Operations Mission Planning Office (SOMPO).
Nova Technologies also provides SOF Mission Planning Support Engineers (MPSE) to SOMPO in support of air, ground, and maritime mission planning and execution. Located in various CONUS and overseas areas, MPSEs maintain the hardware and software of the SOMPE program, ensuring currency and completeness of dynamic mission planning data sets. MPSEs also perform duties as mission planning subject matter experts, providing inputs to local command staff and conducting classes on all aspects of the hardware and software that comprise SOMPE. All SOF MPSEs are qualified to deploy with their respective units. Nova currently has SOF MPSEs deployed supporting our SOF ground, air, and maritime Warfighters around the world, including OEF, OIF, and other areas.
Nova Technologies is the prime support contractor for the Special Operations Forces Planning, Rehearsal and Execution Preparation (SOFPREP) Branch within United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Nova Technologies aids SOFPREP with the collection, processing, and dissemination of required Geospatial-Intelligence (GEOINT) source data, enhanced GEOINT data and 3D scene visualization database products in support of SOF Mission Training and Preparation Systems (MTPS) program. Specifically, Nova Technologies is responsible for acquiring and consolidating elevation and feature data, maps, imagery, and intelligence source data required for enhanced GEOINT data and 3D scene visualization database production. Nova Technologies is also responsible for maintaining USSOCOM's GEOINT data and 3D scene visualization database archive and for validating the geospatial accuracy of all SOFPREP produced data.
